Post-Surgery/Injury Strength and Flexibility
Workouts
After
your recovery from a serious injury or surgical procedure and physical
therapy ends, it's up to you to take responsibility for your on-going
recovery and rehab issues by becoming pro-active. Our trainers will
help you going in the direction of constant improvement of strength,
flexibility, balance, range of motion, stamina and endurance. Our
program will be customized for your specific post-surgical issues
and other injuries to help you prevent falls, re-injury and harmful
fluid build-up.
Our continuing rehab programs begin with a 90-minute
assessment of your overall health, target Heart rate, strength and
flexibility assessment, nutritional assessment and goal setting.
Then, one of our trainers will design a customized program focusing
first on improving range of motion, flexibility and overall strength.
As you begin your program, you will learn proper techniques, be
introduced to free weights, exercise, machines and core strength
training. Active and passive stretching exercises are an important
aspect of our continuing rehab services. These components reduce
scar tissue build-up to improve circulation, increase range of motion
in joints and decrease pain.
Pain Management for People
with Auto-Immune Diseases
For
those of you with Osteoarthritis, Lupus, Multiple Sclorosis, Parkinson's
Disease, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome who simply accept
ongoing pain, weakness and fatigue as a fact of your life, for the
rest of your life, we have some very good news for you!
There is a definite strategy to managing joint and muscle pain that
we have been successfully using for over 30 years. Active and passive
stretching brings movement to frozen or tight muscles to increase
circulation, reduce pain and increase range of motion. Improved
flexibility in your deeper muscle groups frees your painful and
restricted joints, and is particularly successful in relieving back,
knee and hip pain without surgery. Placing pressure on certain trigger
points in the body increases blood flow which decreases pain and
promotes healing.
Please feel free to schedule an initial assessment so we can gain
a better understanding of your issues and concerns.
